I'm looking at radiators,I bought a spectra SGT-CU 1553, on line, when it arrived the drain plug was damaged. They sent me a replacement, and it's drain plug was damaged.Sent it back for a refund. I've been searching and most of the radiators look to be made by spectra. Came across OSC Automotive Radiators 1553, they say they build their radiators, but it sure looks like a spectra brand, is it? if not has anyone used this radiator?

Save your self a headache go to a radaitor shop and get one . If you want to stay on line try American radaitors

What happened to your radiator?

We've run OSC where I work in some of our White Fleet vehicles and we have had to replace several under warranty.

I have personally had four Spectra's in four different vehicles and never had a problem. Where are you getting them from, Rock Auto? If so, call them and tell them what's happening, get them to check it before they ship it and add some protection in that area.

When I did the KDP fix ,the radiator on the truck had some spots on the out side that looked to be leaking, plus the inside of the radiator was pretty crusty.Took it to a radiator shop and they tested the radiator and said it was not fixable. I bought the Spectra radiator from summit racing. First one came directly from the factory. The replacement came from summit racing out of Nevada. Both radiators had the drain plug broken. So I was looking at other brands.First two pics are first radiator and the second two pics are replacement radiator.

We tried, both summit racing and I tried to get them to send a replacement plug. They told us that, they use three different vendors for the tanks, summit sent them the batch number, and they never got back to summit. So summit gave me the option for a third replacement or just a refund, so I choose the refund.Summit does stock the OSC Automotive Radiator 1553 for my truck. I know Napa has it , but I think its a spetra ,but it is local ,so I can look at it before buying it.

Looking it up on Ken Smith it shows MOPAR #52006479 for $246.33. I can call them Tuesday and see if it's still available. I dare say it won't be any different from the Spectra.

So it looks like the choices are limited, and a lot of the radiators are made from the same company. I've looked at Griffin and
Mishimoto Aluminum Radiators, but their so high in price, I know you pay for quality. Thanks BigPapa, I think your right and I'll buy locally, that way I can inspected it.
