I transport raw milk 500 miles daily with my N14 Cummins. When I get to the yard I drop the trailer which grosses 68,000#. Then a two axle yard goat moves the trailer around to unload it. The goats are running the Cummins B. These little trucks run day and night and a couple weeks ago the mechanic told me they finally wore out a P7100 pump. This being the only major problem after years of running. Was also in Southwest Cummins about a year ago and they were converting the city busses over to the B. I have heard the city garbage trucks run the B. Case/International farm tractors run Cummins from the B up to the N14.

Don't forget stationary power units. I have a couple of 12 valves on the farm doing irrigation duty. Yes they aren't ISBs but Cummins is marketing the QSBs to the same market and I wouldn't hesitate buying one (or more).

My uncle is a Cummins distributor, but has also recently signed up with Isuzu due to cut rate entry prices, so Cummins really has to watch out, not for Cat or Detroit, but for low rate imports.

Still confident in Cummins mgmt, look at the latest on Cummins corporate, I think Tim Solso is running the company right and the stock has had some nice gains recently over time. Just hate to see American workers getting cut in the process.

I ran groomers and winch cats a couple years ago. We ran LMC cats with Cat engines but were test driving new groomers. (I still have cloths around with rycon on them from those damn LMCs) The Bombardiers showed up mostly with Cats but one, the BR 2000 or silver bullet as it was nick named had an ISB. You could here the thing from a mile away and boy did it sound good. It was also almost twice as fast as the LMCs and a third again as fast as the other bombies. One the other end of the spectrum was the Pistin Bully with the "car like" Mercedes in it. I think they bought a Bombardier fleet with Cats in them as the in-house mechanics work mostly on cats for the summer equipement and rock trucks.

But I still remember the sound of that straight stacked ISB in the BR 2000. And boy did it fly:D

New Flyer Hybrid.

That New Flyer Hybrid that uses a 5. 9 Cummins is an Allison

hybrid drive and the 5. 9 charges Super Capacitors not

batteries, they're expensive but their life expectancy is virtually

limitless. The hybrid drive will out accelerate the same bus

equipped with a 275 hp 8. 5L Detroit S50.
