Maybe you guys can recommend an alternative. I have an early 04(305/555), my driver's front seat is shot. The manual lumbar adjustment broke around 50k and the frame has poked holes throught the cloth. I have less than 100K on this truck. This has been my only real disappointment. What other year models used the same seat tracks? I need to know if I ran across a 2006 with leather if I could replace mine with it, or any other for that matter. I am trying to search salvage yards as I am too cheap to spend $2000. 00 for a "new" seat.

Thanks

Andy

Is there anything out there aftermarket wise that would work? These seats are junk and when mine craps out after the warenty is done i will lok to the aftermarket for something that will hold up better and is more comfortable.

I don't know of any aftrmarket companies, that is why I ask.

The seats on my 95 (cloth) were great in the 10 years I owned the truck. They were also the most comfortable seats I have ever had. The seats on my 05 (leather) have also been great so far, although not quite as comfortable as the 95.

Your lucky! I have already had to have the bottom drivers side(cloth) replaced (under warranty), could feel the metal bars on my tailbone, and now the back rest is falling away from the headrest bases. I will have to get that replaced next time it goes in. Only have 30k on the truck and my wife drives it 90% on the time so my big A#$ is hardly sitting in it. I know others have had similiar problems.

I guess I should consider myself lucky I have yet to have the dreaded DW or 70 mph vibrations.

Would have been nice to have been able to get the riders seat with the auto adjustments of the drivers seat. This truck was ordered from the factory and the riders seat is minimum for practicle adjustment. As my wife is short, had to make a small stool platform for elevations for her legs. I did add one inch of airfoam under the factory seat covers that have the Dodge Ram head on the headrest. It helped in comfort. While most people have found no problems with these seats, some have.

Sure not as comfortable as our old first Generation with those great Captains

seats. Actually this has been a great truck and far improved over the old one.

Glad somebody asked this question... as it's been on my mind as well. The drivers seat in my '04 is starting to get pretty bad. I can feel the bars from the seat frame now.

My question is this... my seats are not electric would hooking up electric seats be plug and play? Is the plug just sitting under the carpet below the seat? Would I have to get the seat tracks from the electric seats or could I reuse my nonelectric ones?
