I'm NOT very patiently waiting for my new 2014 Big Horn, that is 2 weeks overdue and still counting. Grrrrr!!!
Soooo I want to spend my time learning and getting as much discussion on the 4th Gen 2013-21014 as possible.

I love TDR and have been a member since about 2002, but am interesting in learning what other forums you are monitoring in addition to TDR...???
ie where are some of the other Cummins owners hanging out?

Here are the other forums I watch, some more than others. These sites are all free, however they do accept contributions if you would wish to become a premium member. Because they are free sites, beware of the riff raff and downright false info that can be accessed(Smarty Resource Forum is the exception), the moderators do a fair job, but nowhere near the caliber of TDR!

Cummins Forum is by far the biggest in terms of posting traffic, and Dodge Tuck Resource (DTR) was once a decent site, but the moderators basically suck and ran off a lot of members over the years.

Paying a yearly fee here at TDR keep the riff raff out unlike the other sites. Info here is more legit with answers than the some other sites that you take with a grain of salt. Anyhow, the post above list the major Cummins related forums.

Cummins forum is by far better information on 4th Gen then here. Have a few folks here that don't own a 4th Gen and continue to post false info about them.

....and Cummins Forum has several members that post WRONG information in the 4th GEN Sections (particularly 2013 & Up) that do not own 4th GEN trucks. My major gripe on CF is the volume of folks with 2010 through 2012 trucks that constantly make unwarranted comparisons to the 2013 & up trucks. They're two different beasts.....they share some qualities, but the EGR, DEF, & SCR systems are totally different in regards to emissions. Topics that come to mind include oil change intervals, cleanliness of oil due to much less EGR and the use of DEF, frame differences between 2013 3500's and 2013 2500's, and the differences in frames in regards to oil filter servicing.

I would have to respectively disagree with that.......The CF forum appears to me a more younger crowd, obsessed with lift kits, mongo mudder tires, monster exhausts and bull balls hanging from the rear bumper. That's not to say there isn't good info and people on the forum. One big difference, unless I am missing them, is that CF doesn't have active members like Bob and Sag who work on these things everyday, and offer help on their own time after doing it all day. By the way, THANK YOU guys.....I do live close enough to Bob to buy him a beer and/or lunch if he asks.......

You left out the 1,000 "When will deletes be available?" threads....as well as those that honestly believe that the EVIC spews realistic MPG computations. I've even read a few reports from some stating that the EVIC was on the low side of hand calculations.... :-laf

Agree with ram4sam that a younger crowd hangs at the CF. One thing they did that should be done here add a separate forum for 2013 and later 4th gens. I agree with gsbrockman that there are so many changes, I see posts from 2012 and older that don't apply to newer 4th gens

You got that Right... At times that forum Pisses Me off BC of the cheerleading that's allowed.....I got No problem with constructive criticism.. But not lie's. I guess if you want to shop for insurance Quotes or buying a Jeep You will like the ads at CF.

You got that right, TC........whenever I called someone out on their fuel economy numbers, I might as well been accused of stating that their Momma wore Army boots. :-laf

It's an envy thing that their truck get more mpgs, even the Hemi is now approaching 20 mpgs, in six months it will be 25 mpgs. I'm FF1063 on the other site, 14+ yrs here, different crowd, good people.

Good deal.....I registered just a few months prior to you it appears!!!! :D

I was all over Sud's actual MPG (hand calculated) versus his stated EVIC numbers....I told him to deduct anywhere from .8 to 1.3 off the EVIC. He sadly accepts it is what it is.....but he knew that going into it. He's from KY and bought a '14 Crew Cab 2500 4x4 6.4L.

Thank to all you guys (any gals?) who replied.

Yeah, I'd already peaked at CF and have leaned to skip all the 'lift' and 'delete' stuff since my 2002 has stayed stock, as will my 2014 if it ever gets here!!!!
I always check TDR first but it never hurts to check on 'opinions' from others who for some reason haven't put out the money for TDR. There certainly is a bunch of traffic there, just has to be taken with a grain of salt.
Thanks again :)
Tom

I belong to both forums, both are excellent, but, on the other forum the same half dozen folks always seem to have the same problem as soon as it is posted. I suspect most don't even own a Ram.

Yeah, you need to separate the BS from the facts @ CF. Still good useful info available. AND alot of cheap entertainment. LOL. I notice that alot of youthful third and forth gen owners flip their mirrors to tow position and leave them there. Is there some benefit to that? Or is just something you do when you are young to look cool? You can always tell long before you see the driver or hear the rasp of a Donaldson muffler or straight pipe that it's a younger person by the flipped tow mirrors and the height of the mirrors. LOL My 67 year old brother in law has an 04.5. He bought it with a lift and Donaldson muffler etc. Rough riding & noisey NVH palace. He absolutely sees no need in a flipped mirror even while towing. Makes him old I guess

Tow mirror position sure does get some riled on CF as well......almost as much as if you'd stated their Momma wore Army boots. :-laf

The BOTSR Debacle was most hilarious. EFI Live prrogramming, H&S tuning, and lest we forget transmisison wars. 300 pages of whining, cheer leading, finger pointing, and name calling at the drop of a hat. :-laf
