My mirrors are flipped up most of the time, but I don't use it as a daily driver and usually use the truck for towing. I'm not young, just too lazy to put them down.

I've been considering doing that on my '14. Crewcab + Long bed = massive blind spot.

My initial setting was as soon as the rear bumper of an "average sized vehicle" leaves my rearview, the front bumper shows in my side mirror (where the edge of my truck bed is barely in the mirror, so I can see the rear wheel). Rear leaves the side mirror, front shows in my spot mirror. Rear leaves the spot mirror, I should see it out the window, but noooooooo. I lost a Jeep Grand Cherokee on the left, and gods help the compact cars on my right if they are below my doors. I had to tweak them both out quite a bit to compensate. With the mirrors up, you get significantly better side to side range out of the spot mirror. I just hate the "elephant ears" look, and as narrow as the surface streets are, I'd get them busted pretty quick.

EVIC mileage = LIAR!!! shows 1.5mpg higher on average for me. I don't know why I keep turning it on.

On topic - LONG LIVE THE TDR!!!

I would pay the extra $$$ for cross path detection like our Chargers Have, or the side view camera in the 8.4 screen like our Motorhome has. In the Motorhome the screen shows the side view when using the turn signals. It would be hard to have cross path or blind spot detection in 2 position mirrors, Still would be nice.

On the DTR Lary Ellis the owner band Me for life back in 2004 BC I call him out on the screen, What a loser. Most sites have driven away the dictated Diesel venders, Some sites believed We ( Diesel Sellers needed the forums to survive) We'll "the provide a good service at a fair price works always better then any banner ad". Look what has happened over the last 8 years Facebook, Tweeter and many more have carved up the forums at NO charge, The TDR1 is the only site that stayed dictated to the Diesel enthusiast. Thank You. The Autoforums companies have purchase many forums trying to **** the social network.

Right now I am working on getting a search engine that will NOT allow the Company name to be trump at the highest bidder, If the company pays a yearly membership and someone types the company Name in the search Box they will ALWAYS be the 1st, NO MATTER WHAT. I'm fed up with XDP Diesel ( Who is a grocery seller of products) Trumping My business name over at screwgoogle, Heck.. I don't even sell XDP anything....If this takes off I don't care HOW much $$$$ those search wores offer Me ,There getting the 1 finger gesture.
