This one is for you, Jim W....repowering a CAT D9L

I experimented with Sport Mode a bit more. Besides the shift points changing, it REALLY changes the responsiveness of the TBW. It makes it EXTREMELY twitchy, like a Pedal Commander run amok. In regular mode the response is too soft, like a 1/2" of free travel too much. This would be useful in low range when you don't want it to be jumpy, but it could be dialed up a bit for regular mode to be less laggy for sure. Sport Mode is out for me.

Well after driving the GC for 1,000 miles I can't stand the "Auto Start/Stop" feature. I would forget to turn it off when starting the car and it just bugs me. I REALLY do like it overall. Impressed with the mileage.

So I looked on YouTube, the procedure it to move passenger seat full forward and tip the back forward. They said to remove the floor mat, I didn't need to. I flipped up the battery cover. They said to disconnect the two orange wire connector. I couldn't feel how to release it so I removed the terminal adapter it was attached to and removed the connector and put everything back together.

The "A" light is the only negative and is not a biggie to me at all!!!

Is it really that easy with the WK platform, no side effects from this disconnected wire?

ZERO issues so far and the YouTube guy said it just monitors voltage. My Dad didn't drive it much and if it sat for a few days the auto start/stop would not work until the batteries were fully charged.
How are y’all liking the Grand Cherokee now? You got a smokin’ deal on it.....for sure!!!!

Last summer we purchased a used 2012 JGC Overland with the Hemi and 45k miles. Due to the crazy covid year we haven't even put 2k miles on the vehicle since last June. It has sat in the garage. Right now it is having issues with the fuel pump relay. Chrysler has a recall available but won't supply any parts for the dealers. I have my name on a list at 5 different dealers. They said maybe 2 months wait....... I don't have any warm fuzzy feelings for Stalantis/FCA/Chrysler corporate these days. I also had to put in water pump a few weeks ago. All OEM water pumps on a one month back order. I guess we will see how long the aftermarket Gates water pump goes. It is made of Chinesium....

YES! Hooked up the battery after setting for 6 months and fired right off with no bad noises.

only thing that takes getting used to is the electric steering. VERY responsive.
