My new to me Can Am came with a plow, kinda' snarfed at it BUT it works pretty darn good........

Got about 6" of snow yesterday but the ground is not frozen which is a PITA....so I back dragged it and made a nice base. Now it has dropped to 14 degrees and the drive way is solid like cement. Nice!!

Yea I remember when quads hit big, kid across the street got one with a blade and we all chuckled. He had the last laugh.

Yeah, I wondered about that. Keep it in low range and go easy.......

Yup, use low, and don't linger at "belt engagement speed", the quickest way to "hourglass" a CVT belt. Units with a wet centrifugal clutch inboard of the primary are much more forgiving of that kind of service. Dry setups(like Can-Am)are more responsive, but require being more mindful of the belt.

Mike can I borrow the Can Am to clear my driveway today? We are have a ice/freezing rain storm now with a 1/2" already on the ground. This would be a lot easier to use than the snow blower I have.

Jim

P.S. have fun with your new toy.

If you were a little closer you could borrow it any time.

It's kinda like CAT yellow. :-laf

Yeah, more T shirt weather here today in SC. I'm still seeing mosquitoes out too. Need a cold snap to stunt their growth.

Now I did spend my much younger years in OH and we did have some of that white stuff too. My tool was a 1964 IH Cub Cadet, 10hp Kohler and steel plow chains on the GY turf tires. Guys I moved a bunch of snow with that tough little garden tractor. Still have that Cub and the engine has never been out of the frame. Still has the original GY rear tires too.

Hearing we might get into the upper 30's this weekend.

Nice, so do you take the windshield off when you use that LED light bar?

I open the top half, the light will kinda' shine through the slot if you know what I mean as to the way it opens. The top half section is also removable if needed.

It had the light bar when I bought it. I swear it will heat the rocks on a trail.....

The whole thing goes like this....

Bought it, ran it a few trips....Dog got dust in his eyes, wife got dust in her hair...Bought "Doggles" for the dog and a hat for the wife...

Then decided it would be nice to have a top if it rains, so bought a soft top.

Then in the fall my hands got cold while driving, wife was cold while riding. "Let's buy a windshield!"

Installed windshield. No more cold hands!!

Then read the fine print..."Do not tow the machine backwards"...applied to both the soft top AND the new, expensive windshield...and I could only haul it backwards on my trailer....

Then bought a 7' x 14' enclosed trailer so I wouldn't trash the top and windshield while towing...

See where this is going????:D:-laf
