Does anybody have the pn# for the "condom" for the BHAF from Outerwears. A friend of mine would like one but I forgot the pn# and the address. TIA

Jim

Just sent my check in for one last week so here goes:

part number for BHAF (napa 2790 or equivalent size):

WR3325-105YL

WR = water resistan (this is an option)

Next 7 digits are the part number for that size filter

Last two letters (YL) are the color, I ordered Yellow.

I don't know the color designations for red or black but I assume they are as simple (RD, BK)

The address is:

Outerwears

12611 US 131

Schoolcraft, MI 49087

Hope this helps,

-Jason

Yes, they can make it in just about any color. I ordered yellow and they did not have one in stock. They had a black one in stock so I got that one instead. Custom orders take only about a week, so it isn't that bad (I actually had second thoughts about the yellow so black sounded great when they called me).

Condom?..

OK. . Ya got me!. . I'm the new guy and still dumb, I guess. . What's a condom, outerwear, and BHAF. . I can usually figure this stuff out by reading all of the thread, but this one has me really stumped. . Help out a new diesel guy. .

I have a blue one I will sell you if you want it. Took it off my truck when I traded for a new 03. Has about four months of use on it.

BHAF, Outerwears, Filter Condom

JohnG...

BHAF = Big Honkin Air Filter. It's a larger than stock filter that some have switched to for better air flow. Common filter is Fleetguard AH19037 or Napa 2790.

Outerwears makes a good prefilter or condom that fits over the filter element of the BHAF. I'm sure there are other companies that offer them, I've always had good luck with Outerwears.

Hope that helps you out...

Dustin

BHAF who?

Thanks for answering another of my dumb questions. . Here's another. . So BHAF is just a term for any big filter like AFE Mega-Cannon?. . or is BHAF another brand that I haven't seen yet? (I know you guys are laughing at me now). . Thanks. .

John G

One more please: What does WOT stand for?

Stock, but not for much longer.

BHAF

Thanks Barrington. . and thanks for pic (worth a thousand words). . I get it now. . T date, I had only seen pics of the AFE set-up and Scottys. This 'BHAF' looks bigger yet?? or same size?. . I take it this is yours?. . Does it also have the 'shield' like the AFE?. . Besides guages, the filter is one of the first 'upgrades' I'm gonna do. . Thanks again. . John G

BHAF and Heatshield

No, not mine, borrowed pic from off of here. I do have one though! There are a few people on here that make heatshields for them or you can buy them from some of the vendors. I run it without one. I am sure it helps, just never bought/made one.

Several people on here have made there own. One of those bonding moments with the truck. Man and Beast!

My first MOD/Upgrade was BHAF and lost Silencer Ring. Then took of muffler and resonator. Loud as a train and sings like a bird for a whopping $65. Bhaf $35, Straight piece of pipe, $30.

With a little money you can increase your trucks performance. I did the same but added a heat shield which was under $10
