I've been runnig a Bully Dog Downloader w/ outlook monitor for about five months. No complaints about the power. Some smoke but EGT's rise quickly. The problem is, at night the back light on the monitor is getting more and more dim and sometimes flickers. Has anyone had this problem?

I have had my outlook since January and it is just now starting to do the same thing as you are talking about. I havn't contacted Bully Dog but I am sute that they will take it back and repair it for no charge as long as you are within the warranty period. I have been happy with the performance set at 90 HP, but I think that I am getting alot of injector noise, and I am some what worried that it may do some damage. I recently pulled my boat 8k, for about 800 miles and I set the programmer back to the tow (50hp) setting. The performance and milage is not as high, but the truck is quiter, alot less smoke. I think I will leave it there.

hi,

I just tried the Bullydog triple dog with outlook monitor. It does make the engine extreemly noisy and the power isnt all that smooth. I have since switched to the edge/attitude and what a difference. The power comes on strong and smooth and the engine is as quiet as stock. Bullydog must use a buttload of timing or something I dunno but the edge seems much more refined. If your happy with the BD then great... Just thought I would share my experience beetween the 2.

Mine has been doing this for about a month. Wasn't sure if it was the monitor or the wiring so I checked all the connections under the hood and put dielectric grease on all. Plug on back of monitor also seems fine. I guess I'll be contacting Bully Dog.
