Outsdie Temperature sensor

My outside temperature reads 30 to 40 degrees high. Does anyone know of a way to calibrate it? The sensor seems to be on the left of the rad brasket and it did get crunched there last summer, could be it has given up the gohst.



My '99 did a similat thing and I held the reset button in for a while and it recalibrated. Dosen't work here. I seem to get a compass adjustment when I do that.



Any idesa would be appreciated.

I had a similar issue on my new 06. My problem was that it was reading like 30 degrees to LOW and it would stay there for about 20 miles then all of a sudden it would climb to the correct temp!!! I was advised to dissconnect the Neg battery cables for a different issue ( Cab lites not staying on long enough) and when I did that, it fixed both issues!! Cab lights are correct and the Outside temp seems to be right on... hope that helps, can't hurt...
