Over head way off

Had a 555 04, now have a 05 610 (buy back..... 70mph vibe). My 04's overhead was almost right on target in mpg, this one is always about 1. 5 mpg to high. Is there a quick fix for this? Anyone had this issue. Also I KNOW the mpg thing had been bear to death, but my 05 610 only seem to get less in the CITY, about 14. 5 vs 16 for the 555. On the hwy they both get around 21 empty on flat ground at 70mph, what gives?

My thoughts are this. I don't have any information to back this up.



I feel the 2 gen overheads did a MPG caculation from the time you reset it. so if was reset 1000 miles ago, you see the MPG over the last 1000 miles.



I feel my 06 shows MPG over the last 100 miles. I can run the truck hard (towing) and have the overhead showing 13mpg. I remove the camper, drive the rest of the fuel out and the over head will be back at 20mpg, but when I fill it up and use math to figure it out, it will show way below 20mpg.



Now if I run through a whole tank with out towing, the Overhead will match the Math figures at 20mpg

Not mine , on my 05 automatic it is allways 1. 5-2 mpg off. I think they made it that way to make us feel even better about our mileage than we do.

I never bother checking the mileage by hand in my 03. It's always very close to the overhead.

When stock my overhead showed about 1. 5-2mpg less than hand calculated. Now with my current mods, the overhead reads about 1-1. 5 higher than actual. Every mod changed the ratio a little.

Same with mine, I never used them but I reset it now on every fillup. It always reads at 4-5 tenths lower then im getting hand calculated.

Mine is about the same it reads 1. 5-2. 0 higher than actual. Just got back from a 400 mile round trip, the overhead reads 21. 7 hand calc it was 19. 9.
