Do you have a problem with heat from the exhaust affecting your air horns?

No, The heat does not affect the horns whatsoever. Just think about how hot they would get on a roof. ;) As long as the compressed airtank is cool it should be fine (I don't even know if that will affect it:confused: )

TNTWAY just installed a Grover Emergency Stuttertone airhorn in almost the same location. (his had the Turbo inlet hose on top and the horn underneath. He got that idea from me because that horn is 24 inches long! and had a hard time finding a good spot.

On another note, it might not seem clear on my last post but I do like the MHAF. I mainly got it because of my space problems with mounting the airhorn and compressor. Because the horns are roof mounts I had to get a piece of steel to attach it to then run the air tubing through a hole in the shield. The Jannetty heat shield was the fastest thing I could get. (Helps when Jannetty Racing is 40 minutes from my house ;) ) Then, because I wasn't sure about using a K&N filter, swung by Cummins metropower and picked up a MHAF. With this heatshield, The BHAF (AH190037) would have never fit.
