Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Overdrive off indicator light malfunction

Pushing the switch will turn the overdrive off and, conversely, pushing it again will turn it back on. However, when turning the overdrive off the indicator light does not light up. Suggestions? Thanks.

If the light never comes on you may have a burned out bulb. It's a small incandescent bulb. I don't know where you could get a replacement if that is the problem. The service manual shows the wiring so you could test it with a meter.

Mine has went out a couple of times. They are easy to change: I went to junk yard and got a bunch of them out of junk 1500. I am sure you can get them at Napa or Orielys, they look pretty standard.
