overdrive/tow haul mode

2000 miles from home 2007 transmission jumping out of overdrive, back and forth. checked connections all good. got into tow/haul mode ran a hundred miles no problem.any ideas ? could I make it home in tow/haul mode? thanks.

Sure you can, you can run T/H all year long no matter what.
