Does anyone have a source of supply for the spring that goes in the overflow valve?

Any and all help appreciated!

I bought the whole replacement overflow valve at Tysinger Dodge/Mercedes in Hampton. Then I returned it because Mid-Atlantic Cummins (in Chesapeake) had it for almost 1/3 the price.

Rammin On,I'm sure they can for probably 10¢ each once you know the specs. I had a spring catalog but couldn't find it,there are only a few spring manufactures in the US do a search on the net. I remember from reading the catalog that springs are much more complex than you would think, besides the physical size there is also the compression force and the rate of force vs. amount of compression. Little more than I want to try to figure out at home. What would be nice is to find someone who works for Bocsh that can get the part number that they use from their supplier. Right now they have us over a barrel.

illflem ... . you are so right! over the barrel! I can go and find the spring we need ... I was just hoping ... someone may have done this before. Guess I'll do my homework ...

Life is good!

I might bring one out to Wolff springs (gun springs) to see if they'll do me some.
Theyre pretty nice guys, I bet they will.
