well... . the jury has spoken. my '01 ETH/DEE is equiped with some sort of firehose injectors. ive only had this truck for a short while and really didnt notice the black cloud behind me when getting into the GO pedal. started to notice the cloud about a week after i bought it and from lurking around here for a while i was immediately concerned. called PDR to buy a FP gauge to install with my pyro/boost. with a pre turbo pyro i can easily nail 1200* getting on the freeway empty with a max boost of 21-22lbs. i just got off the phone with Piers to get some advise(and a boost fooler) and feel better after some reassurance that 1300* is really ok for short periods of time. i was more concerned about the previous owners habits being so overfueled with no gauges:rolleyes:... but the thing runs like a top and has gobs of power. anyway..... PDR kicks ass.



and now ive been bitten by the bomb bug. :D well... . im done rambling:p



EDIT>>>> do aftermarket injectors have P/N's that are visible after the valve cover is removed??? or do they need to be pulled out and flow tested???

Many injectors are made from a stock core. So thay still have stock #'s The closest you can get is a guess from your boost #s.

The injectors have to be pulled and tested is what I understand.



Congrats on your new obsession... LOL If you are in fact only seeing 12 to 1300 degrees then you are going to out grow your small injectors real fast. I could see 1200 - 1300 WOT out of mine with just an EZ.

yeah... im thinking if the boost fooler/orifice from PDR cleans up all the smoke and cools EGT's ill feel like ive got to do something to bring back the smoke:p as it is now ill hit 1200* as fast as i can blink getting on it hard.

San Jose has a TDR club that meets on the third tuesday of each month at CoCo's on hamilton ave... good place to hook up with HVAC [Nowel]and Blair Pine for some great advice as to direction to go with your rig...



Brandon is in Modesto at the 5 min. car wash and lube on Oakdale blvd just south or Orangeburg on the west side of the street. . . also a very good place for advise



you may already have some of the needed parts in it and just need some air. . they can visually see what is there [except for the injectors]



also a print out from DMV will get you previous owner . . good for a call as to what is in your rig.

im in palo alto. usually you can find me on the Rubicon or Fordyce creek on the weekends

:D ive actually met Nowel at his place and had him peek under the hood and he found no signs of any fueling box. the "Void" sticker was still stuck to the pump. i may need to swing by CoCo's one of these tuesdays.

i have the name and number of the previous owner, but have been unsuccecfull in reaching him. once i get my breathing goodies from Piers ill see what sort of boost numbers i get.
