2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission overhead computer?

Hello all





I just installed the overhead trip computer in my 2002 CTD.



The install wasn't to bad every thing hooked up where it should, but now when I turn the truck on it shows the compass and temp then it displays a code of CCD. :{



Dose anyone know what code this is?

do you have the directions on how to calibrate the compass?



One of us could look it up if needed.

The only calabration instructions that I have are in the owners manual.





When the display gose to ccd the only thing that works is the timer.

I read through the service manual and all I could find was this.



" If the “CCD” message is displayed, the use of a

DRB scan tool and the proper Diagnostic Procedures

manual are required for further diagnosis. "



CCD=Chrysler Collision Detection data bus network.



I would check all your connections again and maybe find someone with a scan tool

It means it isn't reciving a data bus signal.

Mine did something like that when I first hooked it up.

The long cable from the console to the fuse box has two connectors on the fuse box end, one obviously for the fuse box the other goes to an unused connector next to the white cover under the dash. I think that white cover is for the connector through the firewall.

There is one more part and that is the cover lens I dont have the part number for that because it was back ordered .

What did you do to fix it?



Thats weird it listed someone else's post as the last one.

The small white plug was loose.

the one that plugs in next to the buss connector.
