Overhead Console Installation

My Ram is a 2001 with the plain overhead console, no digital readouts and no auto-dimming mirror. I'm thinking about picking up an OEM overhead console from another Ram that has the digital readout, harness and mirror. Has anyone installed one of these. Are they just a simple harness plug-in or do they require more modifications?
