over the last few weeks, i have noticed that my overhead console has been acting very weird. the trip odometer, and compass work fine, but the outside air temp thermometer says a constant 130 degrees, and the fuel mileage gauge resets itself after every start. this isn't about whether or not it is accurate, because it never was, but moreso just a comment on how this truck has been plagued with electrical issues since day 1. i'm not looking to have it fixed, because at almost 10 calendar years, i've got bigger fish to fry. anyone else seen this with theirs?

The only issue I have with mine is the occasional "blank stare", as I call it. When it happens, everything except the timer reads "--" and the unit doesn't dim with the dash lights.

Your issue I've not encountered. Do you have cab clearance lights possibly leaking water into the unit?

no, fortunately no CCL on the roof. i am a bit concerned, the last 2 tanks have been between 15. 6-16 mpg, hand calculated. this is not good considering the 18-19 i used to get on summer fuel. i know the overhead issues have nothing to do with the drop in mileage, but it seems the whole truck is starting to show its calendar age (not odometer age, 75,000)
