overhead console removal help

I would like to try and swap the Photo electric mirror on my

1995 slt with the standard on on the 03 quadcab.

getting the 95 overhead console down is no problem

I need to do this to disconnect the wires.

But the new 03 has no screws and when I popped off the lens's

on the pushbutton lights no screws there either?.

So how is it removed?

I'd like to know, too, as the fuse box is no longer to the left of the dash--it's all under hood now. I may want to tap in to an "igniton on" wire to hardwire my radar detector. Thanks in advance !

To remove the overhead trim with or without map lights, use a small screwdriver, or better yet a 90 degree pick, and pull down at the front of the trim near the windshield.

There are NO screws holding the trim up.



FYI-I think when I installed an alarm in an 03 I noticed the map lights are ground switched
