Ok guys, I am working on transposing a 2001 3500 5 speed overhead console into my 2002 2500 6 speed non console truck, I have power and the et works, but on all the rest of the functions i get a CCd message. any help in troubleshooting and suggestions on how i can get this to work would be greatly appreciated.

can i get one of you guys to take pictures of the under dash connections for the overhead console in your truck. I know about the one in the main fuse panel, but the small white plug with 4 holes and 3 wires i have been unable to locate on my truck, it is my belief that that plug controls the input to the computer, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

It will only work with the dually rear end.

Just kidding, if you haven't found it yet its the small plug needs to be connected, its near the giant connector with the white cover by steering column.

Very funny, very funny, lol I found out i cannot use it because the little plug by the big white covered box under the dash doesn't exist on my truck. now what, i guess i need to find someone who can use the wiring harness and console i have now.

There is access to the ccd data bus at the "connector 7" location behind steering column. The missing wire is only an extension from the bus. IMHO, ck the wiring diagram to see.

You should have a connector somewhere. My truck 2001. 5 did not come with the trip comp, but I was able to install. Find someone who has the trip comp installed and look at there connections. you can also get the wire harness part numbers this way.
