overhead display problem

I was driving back from breakfast and looked up at the overhead display and it was just showing lines. No numbers (ie temp, mpg, ect) it would show the direction but that was it. The next time I started up the truck everything showed just fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Haven't experienced that one yet. Just the check gauges light that blinks on occassionally.

I had it happen just once. I was idling and it went blank. Shut off to fuel up, restarted and it was OK. Happened a couple months ago, never since.

Had it happened twice to me too, when you shut down and turn the truck back on it is OK. :--)

Ok, it's happened to me twice also, but not in the last thousand miles or so (4400 now). The last time it happened I stopped and cycled the key and it never happened again. Probably just growing pains!

Mine did the same thing... ... ... ... ... ... ... It will show everything just fine once the engine is turned off, then on.

I wonder if this is related to the check gages light blinking on/off. I have not seen mine do this just the check gages light blink but I could of missed it. Service man at dealer said they were told to unplug the ECU and replug it. I will take mine to them next week to do this. Could be loose connection on something.
