Got my truck back from dealer. (R&R heater/A-C core/dash replace)When I cranked it the overhead display was blank, toggled it to reset all fields and it showed CCd in the display. The only field that works is the timer. Anybody know what could be wrong or what they might have Dc'd and not reconnected???

CCD is one of the names for the computer network in your truck that connects everything together (ecm, pcm, radio, instrument cluster, abs...) The overhead is no longer connected to the network and ecm. Someplace in the dash is an unplugged connector.

Look under the dash, on the floor. I seem to recall something related to the CCD bus down there.

CCD Bus: Chrysler Collision Detection Bus. Has nothing to do with detecting vehicle collisions; rather, it's a geek thing. It is much like ethernet where 'talkers' detect that something else talked while they talked, sleep a random # of milliseconds, and transmit again. That is, talkers detect when messages collide, wait a few random moments, then try again.

That's one way to describe it. Think of each computer as a person in a room. When the person wants to send a message they listens and talk when it's quiet. Naturally two people talk at the same time (the collision), they stop, wait some random time and speak again. Hopefully not colliding.

The ODB II connector is part of this data network (also called a bus).
