Has anyone done the overhead gauge mount ( under overhead consol)?

Not into the A pillar mounts and had the dash mount on the last truck. Vision was good but often had glare and a reflection of my hand atop the wheel.

Did the two gauge "A" pillar mount in my 2001 and the two hole "mirror mount" on my 2005. Both installs included a Westach dual (boost/egt) gauge and a FP gauge. I liked both setups but I think I like the "mirror mount" better. It's in an "out of the way" location and is easy to glance up and read. The wiring can get a little tight up by the mirror, but if you do it neatly you can get it all in there. The biggest problem is the tight fit for the 2" gauges and getting the wiring in behind them, but it's all doable... ;)

I did an overhead gauge mount on my 04' but I went with the dash mount on the 06' which I haven't completed yet. The overhead set up I seemed to take my eyes off the road more to look up at them. I decided I might like them in front of me now instead. Ken

Anywhere you put a gauge, you're going to "take your eyes off the road" to look at. I really don't see this as a problem. In fact, the longer you have the gauges in the less time you will find yourself staring at them. You will find that you just "glance" up at them as you know where they should read and your quick "glance" just confirms what you expect to see. The bottom line is to put them where you want them for your personal preferences. One place is no better then any other... ;)
