The press fit idea worked on the SPA's I put in my 03 but the Isspro's are smaller than the pod holes.

I was going to try wrapping the Isspro's enough but was concerned with the added weight of the gauge is might rattle out on rough roads.

I will wrap them anyway due to the translucent bucket that glows at night and take extra care in cleaning the windshield.

Thanks.

It is a royal PITA. . Absolutely the most frustrating project I have done on a truck yet... I have DiPricol oil press, trans temp and rear diff temp... The gauges were not the problem, I just can not get the damn thing to fight tight. I even trimmed the front tab about 3. 8 inch back...

I Like having the gauges there but, I really am having second thoughts about have a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the cab...

Cheers, Bill

Hi Bill,

I am doing ISSPRO's also and the weight of 3 seems pretty heavy for the way the mount is intended. Did you beef up your mounting any?

No, and it's been almost a year since I installed them. They are hanging in there just fine. I do have a bit of the "headliner light bleed" but it doesn't bother me as much as some folks. Some day I'll pull the pod and re-trim the front tab and that should do it... . For now, I'll just watch the turbo needle go up and down and chuckle to myself... . and listen for my sons to yell "pyrometer" at me when I get over 1200... :D

A small amount of "white" light bleeds around the center dial, not allot but just enough to take away from a factory look. To correct this I will get the optional green bulb covers and plug them back in for another look. I think it won't make them any darker just change the white bleed to a green bleed.

FYI conformation- The optional green bulb covers do fix this and don't make the face any darker, they are cheap and I highly recommend including these if anyone orders the ISSPRO's

Also- They offer an extension harness for gauges that use an amplifier box and will go in an overhead pod. This allows for convenient under dash mounting of the amplifier box. I bought (2) Part # R7799 for the EGT and Trans Temp gauge and again are not expensive at all. I was going to cut and splice on but for just a few dollars this will be more convenient.
