The ad says the pod is held in place with "mushroom head tape" (same stuff that holds an EZPass to the glass) which leads me to believe it attaches to the windshield so it may work. If you try it and it does fit let me know, I like the idea of positioning the gauges up there.

Thats exactly how I want to do mine. I couldnt send him a PM so I emailed him. I will let you all know what I find out. Thanks!

I would just like to point out that it's more difficult to look up at the gauges and try to hold her between the ditches, while pressed into the seat at 4 Gs. :-laf

Here's what I did... . I ordered and installed an overhead shelf from JC Whitney. I then mounted 2 triple digital gauge assembly's and my EGT gauge by drilling small holes through the shelf to attatch the gauges. Now I've also got room to mount a garage door opener as well as space to toss the sunglasses and other items. The visors mount to the shelf and remain functional.

This might work good for mounting gages on the roof, it has room to mount a stereo, so I'd think gages could be placed there instead.

Wow thats pretty sweet, but dang did you see that price tag :--) I'm thinking about possibly making my own like the other guy did. I wonder how he fiberglassed it, and with what? I can fab up my own, but from there I'm not real sure of the process.

jstraw, i've been looking at those things for a bit. how's the fit and finish of that product? thanks.

Dave, the fit was an easy install. it took about an hour all said. The finish is good with headliner type cloth that matched perfect.

I ordered it straight from thier catalog. I never did check to see if it was listed on-line. I think it ran about $80.
