2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overhead Light

My overhead light (the push button unit) has a burned out bulb. How do I take this thing apart to get at the bulb??

Just pry the lens cover with a small serewdriver and the lens will swing down. Just grab the bulb and pull out. To put it back just swing the lens back up

Yeah, that works for the dome light. If you're talking about the map lights towards the front, there are two screws towards the windshield. You take those out, and the whole overhead assembly should slide towards the back of the truck and come down. Hope this helps.

On my 01 the map light lens pops down like C. D. Day said. No need to pull the whole unit down which I still need to do to replace the wiring harness as the it no longer will push on for the right side map light.

Don't need to drop overhead assy. from roof. Just gently pry the map light lens open as described.
