2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overhead lights / console - how do you remove it?

[GOT-Torque]

My overhead lights have never worked since I bought the truck. Anyone know how to remove the overhead console so I can get the lights fixed? It appears the little light windows that you press on to turn them on and off are broke as they don't push on anything when you press on them.
