In my ongoing search for more storage space in my dinosaur er I mean 1st gen I was wondering if anyone know's of or has made an overhead storage compartment. It seems to me the ceiling has enough height for a couple of pockets or something that. Steer me in the right direction if there is a company that makes a good quaility system. Thanks

I just installed the "Shelf-It" on Sunday and have mixed feelings about it. The color (dark gray) doesn't match - it's quite a bit lighter than the interior - and it is a little hard to get used to it hanging down. I do like the storage space, though, and it covers up my cracked windshield trim. ;)

Mine came with a "Shelf-It," and although it is rather handy, I don't like the fact the the sun visors are canted down in the center. The bottoms on both visors are slanted down toward the center, and you can't put the visor to the side to block the sun if you're driving north/south near dawn/dusk. They come down at probably about a 30-40* angle. Other than that, I love it and use it every day.

Has anyone bought or seen the replacement headliner from JCWitney that they advertise that has a space for a radio and four speakers in it? I was looking to replace my headliner and thought that having the speakers out from behind the seat would work better but the picture they have of it makes it look a little cheesy. I'd hate to spend the money and get it and not like it. If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Dan

Would this work? http://www.jcwhitney.com/SearchCatContainer.jhtml?_requestid=71706

I have seen a color picture in an ad once for the one you mentioned, but can't find it at the moment. Didn't look to bad, but depending how tall you are, it looks as though it may stick down to far. It would for me.

I read a review on it a long time ago, I believe it was in "4 Wheeler", but I'm not 100% on that. The reviewer said it was decent quality. You might want to hit a public library and the periodical index and see if you can find the review.

I had an old Shelf-It in my 90, and didn't like the sunvisor angle problem. I've since gotten one for my "new" 93 and they have taken care of the problem by cutting out 3 sides of the area that the visor screws to. It's pushed upwards at an angle to allow front AND side use of them. If I had a way of posting a picture, I would. But it is a big improvement.

I can't imagine not having an overhead shelf now. If they made nice large flat dashboards like they used to, it wouldn't be so bad.
