My truck has a serious case of the sagging a$$ when you put a load on it. It kinda looks like a wimpy 1/2 ton. What kind of suspension modds do you guys have to keep your truck level when loaded? Are you just using factory overload springs? My truck is not equipped with the camper package. Just wondering.

I have the same problems. Has been discussed extensively here and the solution seems to be airbags. I'm having them put on my truck before I start towing again in the spring.

I had a 2000 2500 (8600 GVW) with the same problem with my slide-in camper loaded, I started to have the "Airlift" air bags and sway bar installed, (this would have corrected the problem); I decided to get a 3500 instead. The sad thing is my 2500 chevy (8600GVW) hauled the camper just fine. :(

I took off the wimpy factory overloads and installed 3000 lb overloads. I find that these work very well and are half the price of air bags

springs

I put air springs and a rear sway bar on at the same time on my 95. It eliminated the need for the equalizer hitch, but even at 5-10 psi the air bags make the ride empty very stiff. I think I would try the overloads first. Also installing the bag next to the fuel tank is no fun.

air bags

Has any one tried the air bags made by Kelderman out of Oskaloosa,Iowa? They look like a smaller version of truck air bags. Do away with springs completely! 1-800 334 6150 is their #. They started out with this set up on series 1 Dodge pickups. Also, has any one used lowering set up for 4WD Dodge pickups? Mine sets a little high for fith wheel camper.

So far I guess I am lucky. I have yet to feel a need for anything else other than the camper package. I have had up to 4500 lbs. in the bed. This is not an everyday thing I must admit. I wonder how much. or long, it would take to weaken the springs and make the ram sag a little bit.
