If your 06 is making over 40lbs of boost, your probably overspeeding it. My 05 with just the TST would make 55lbs with the stock charger which was WAY too much for that little thing, and on the verge of self distruction.

Ka-BOOM Grind WHeeeeezzzzz... ... ... .

What kills the turbo is RPM, not pressure. To produce 40 psi @ 3000 rpm takes a lot more turbo RPM than to produce 40 psi @ 2000 rpm. It has to do with the extra CFM the engine needs at higher RPM. Just keep that in mind when revving it up.

With the electronic wastegate on the stock turbo and the boost fooler on the TST anything over 3-3 would overspeed mine. TST has a way to fix this problem with their "boost elbow" or somthing. I just upgraded to a B1 and eliminated this problem.

I understand that pressure doesn't kill the turbo, however your not going to build 50lbs of boost on a stock turbo unless its being way overdriven. So your gauge is the only way to tell, unless you have a datalogger that measures turbo shaft speed, which I don't see listed on his truck!
