You’d be surprised at how many folks never even look at the manual if furnished with one. Post after post here and on other forums with questions that the manual clearly addresses. When you see the size of the manual it may make a little more sense.

Yes that's the scary part.

I called FCA and got the owners manual sent to me for free. However, they didn't send me the diesel supplement and when I called to get that too they said I had to purchase it. Had to go to a website they directed me to in order to purchase it.

That's weird. They happily sent me the manual, diesel supplement and warrantee book in 2013.

Isn't it a requirement to provide product manuals? I doubt they would accept an excuse for lack of maintenance because you didn't have a manual. I don't know, but I shall be on the look-out for that one in the future. If nothing else, dealer should automatically supply them. Just my $0.02/for what that's really worth.

My 2017 and 2019 Rams both came with all the manuals. Even though it good to have the hard copies, I like the search feature on the soft copies. Got em on my smart phone.

My 17 also came with hard copies of the manual and diesel supplement. Maybe certain dealers make sure they are included?

When they send you a survey on your purchase experience make sure to mention the lack of the manual. Might get some action.

Friends,
I thought I would add one more point...Our salesman had both fobs, all the vehicle documents (manuals, warranty, etc...), salesman's card, service manager's card, showed them, and presented them to us. Then went out to vehicle together, set up phones, logged into and set up Uconnect, demo'd features, and asked if we had questions This has been the process for every vehicle I can recall.

IMHO, this is more then just missing manuals, it's the complete process that includes "handing" the user info pkg over.

Cheers, Ron
