I bought mine at 43,000 on the clock, now has 115000, just general maint and the factory recalls, balljoints at 98000, and updated t/c and vb at 108000. can you say chyrsler corp vehicle. that's what she was. so far so good. Ian

2000 Ram 2500, 2WD, Quadcab, ETC w/6-speed, Edge EZ, DD-II's, 109000+ miles: Only things that broke/failed:

fuel sender for guage... found out when I ran it out of fuel showing 1/8 tank left

starter would stay engaged... . replaced the upgraded contacts offered by a TDR board member

lift pump... . would experience an occassional hiccup on accelleration and finally connect a guage and found 0psi at idle.

Thats it for failures. Brakes suck. Always adjusting. Always fading when pushed hard. With the 2 power mods, this beast goes helluva lot faster than it can stop.

Totally pleased and now also have an 04. 5 600 that I hope is just as reliable.

47,000 miles - Rear axle oil seals leaking.

50,000 Miles - swapped the shocks for better ones.

64,000 miles - Lift pump. It was leaking from the O ring on the primer button.

73,000 - Oil sending unit.

115,000 - Miles - Rebuilt the entire front end - everything but the axle and springs.

125,000 - Rear pinion seal leaking - not replaced yet.

Swapped the fuel sending unit once, lasted about 6 months before it started to get erratic. Ignore it now. The rest was normal maintenance items.

Windshield Wiper control arm (at less than 10,000 miles, too much flicking the wet snow off).

Lift pump (62,799 miles)

Clutch Slave/Master Cylinder (78,600 miles)

Brake Pads (83,330 miles)

102,000 miles (all mine)

155,000 on my clock, the only thing thats been replaced was the throttle cable. ( under warranty) ball joints & steel trans line. Been a really tough truck.

98 12 valve new to me with 83,000 now 106,000. Overflow valve, RR axle seal, pinion seal and tranfercase output seal. Normal fluids and checks. So far so good. Looking forward to at least another 106,000.

It is obvious, it doesn't know what the inside of a garage looks like. 603,225 / 54 months = 11,170 miles per month?

That's 372 miles everyday if it never has any downtime. Either you are a very dedicated OTR or you have more than one driver or we have a typo on hand.

I took a WAG on the months since I don't know when it was bought.

Best,

John

Lordy, but that boy does drive a lot, don't he??

"Catch me if you can?" I don't think that even OTRDR can do that...

I think you are the King, Jerry... . Not only that, but you racked up another 1700 miles in two days.

120,000 on the odometer right now. LP @ 82000, boost pressure sender (map) @ 112000, vacuum and ps pump seals @ 115000. Thats all :d.

120,000, 4 balljoints, 2 trackbars now Lukes Linked!, 1 tie rod end, 2 rotors, 3 sets of pads, 1 pair of calipers, 1 steering box, now w/ DSS, 1 set of shocks, 2 front axle u-joints, 1 front drive shaft u-joint, 3 sets of tires, 1 rear shoe set, 2 rear axle seals, 2 lift pumps, 1 injector pump. It sounds bad, but in all honesty, this truck has exceeded expectations. It tows very heavy very often and still looks good. Most of these parts could be considered general maintenance. Anybody notice... knock on wood... clutch, batteries.

The only thing that I can think of that broke in the first 100 was the lift pump - if wearing out is considered broken. ???

Stock fuel lines went out at 177... dont know if they are original, dont look like it. Some dipchit used fuel hose and not fuel injection hose!!!
