Question for all you guys that did multiple front end parts replacements, especially track bars... .



What were the most common symtoms or did the service dept. tell you they were bad?

I thought I had it bad , but after reading all of this I think I'll keep my hunk of junk!!!! After about 60000 miles I put on the first fuel pump and starter,70000 second starter 72000 third starter . At about 80000 Icould not align my front end REBUILT THE********** front end . Gas gauge sensor,rear wheel seal transmission my fault 2nd transmission NOT my fault . after all this Istill love my DODGE !!!! So far jbutts
 
140,159 miles today.



24k; crankshaft position sender

65k; 5th gear nut

96k; new lift pump

97k; new front brakes, rear ok yet

99k; new front axle seals

112k;new AC compressor

118k;new clutch, T. O. brg, pilot brg.

(clutch was only 45% worn. )



Truck is running like a new one. Front end still tight. Excellent oil sample reports.
 
563,000 miles

Ball joints- all 4 twice

Tie rods- all of them 3 times

Brakes - a lot, I can't even tell you how many

One rear axle seal

One front axle seal

Shut off solenoid

Starter contacts

Fifth gear nut (replaced with mainshaft and nut)

Transfer case

vacuum pump

Alternator

Drivers door pins

Front engine oil seal

PS pump

Steering gear assy (3 times)

Steering shaft

Driveshaft carrier bearing

Front steering U joints

Front hub assy - both sides

Lots of shocks until I went with the Edelbrocks

Radiator (and in need again soon)

Fuel return line - the steel one under the intake

Fuel gage sending unit

Wiper motor (today - in the rain no less)



Still not too bad in my book... ... .
 
close, 98k most under extended warr. :D dip stick, water pump, leather steering wheel, steering column, 1 stock, now borgenson,track bar,shocks, 2 sets of brakes, pwr door lock switch, trans on borrowed time:( a/c evaparator diagnostic done today,(BAD). Not too bad IMO, motor is a work horse. PS: anyone that has had dash apart to replace a/c core tips would be very appreciated. Thanks

Just got back from Sarasota, Fl. 612,000 miles.



Starting to have clutch pilot bearing problems again. . Oh well, i'm getting go at it. :D
