A Friend is with us from 3th to 20th September, I think he would like a boat tour at his last day of holiday, with him we'll stay at a campsite in the city, but afterwards Steffi and I would enjoy your hospitality and the Jacuzzi, I love Jacuzzis.

Your welcome to stay anytime, your friend would be welcomed as well, we have several beds available. However if your envisioning a large Jacuzzi, its just a large bathtub Jacuzzi, sorry, but it does feel good nonetheless.

If Victoria (Wife) wants to cruise in the boat with us, it will be comforatble with the 5 of us. She doesn't like the heat, and at the end of September, it can still be over 100*, she may not want to. But I love the boat on the lake at any temp. even at 50*. I'll change over to my 19 pitch prop for better performance, do you want to Ski as well, I can go to a 17 pitch prop?

We have a couple new blog entry's on our website since the last post here.

Many thanks also again to Steve and Vicki for their hospitality when i nedded it so desperately because of a health issue.
We are now on our jump over to Mexico for the winter, only a couple days left in the US.
See us in Spring, we will be back then for the trip Westcoast up to Alaska.

After 3 months down at the Baja we are back in the US for the Season.
Mexico was fun, incredibly cheap and really kind people there, and many many Amrricans and Canadians down there.
It was interesting to see how the snowbirds pile up NORTH of the border and pay horrible camp ground fees whereas SOUTH of the border the place would be cheaper and even nicer.
While the more courageous snowbirds migrate deep into the south and are rewarded with beautiful beaches and mild climate.
And pay no more then 350$ for a month with full hook up.
We felt safe all the time on the Baja, absolutely no problems. No encounter with the Police, nit cheated at Gas stations or restaurants, nothing.

Right now we are in southern California, driving east to Arizona and New Mexico, maybe even the eastern corner of Texas, we'll see how the Weather does. Temperature is our sign post where to go next.

Glad you like Baja in Mexico. Been there several years ago went on a cruise and we stop at Cabool San Lucas. I don't know if I would every pull the 5er there since I won't go to Kalif any more.

Is that your truck and slide in camper in the photo on the beach?

Yes the second truck from the left is ours.
In german we would say " step over your shadow". It's well worth doin it. We have been on a nice CP in Loreto Baja Sur. On the better places they speak english, customer's demands.
And for people that are afraid driving on their own the Mexicans invented the Convoy, here an example for this from a mainland Resort.

Convoy and 2 Month Full hookup for 495$. Hard to beat.

The same offers CPs at the Caribbean Coast, picking up the guest at the Texan border.

What is the diesel like? Is DEF available?

Diesel is better quality, always 45 Cetan by law. Way less smoke and better economy for my truck. At least at the Baja all was ULSD. And i was told that all Mexico did the transition to it now.
Biggest change in Fuel business in Mexico is that there are now multiple brands available like BP, Chevron and others, its not all PEMEX anymore like in the past. I think that helped a lot for us customers, especially the new brands look for customers satisfaction and do not even try to cheat.

DEF, yes to but not available everywhere, i saw it in Autozone, this chain store is in every bigger city.
