Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P 0500 Code

Just out of curiosity I decided to check for codes today. The only code I got was a P 0500. What does this code mean. I've never had a check engine or any other kinda warning when i've driven the truck.

Thanks Sam, My P0500 means "No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal". Anyone have any ideas or have had that code before?

Had the batteries unhooked for about 2 hrs this evening. Code is gone.
