P-47 Pennzoil filter

Is a P-47 Pennzoil filter a good choice for my 2009 Ram 2500? Does anyone know who makes it?

Is that an oil filter?
Go to Geno's Garage for all your maintenance parts (filters, sensors... ). They have the Fleetguard Filters. No need to look further. And their service... a pleasant surprise.

I believe most replies will say to stay with fleet guard which is a Cummins subsidiary.

I very strongly recommend against the use of a Pennzoil oil filter in your Cummins engine.

I believe you will find that "Pennzoil"-branded filter will most likely be manufactured by Honeywell/AlliedSignal... IIRC, Honeywell/AlliedSignal owns Fram if I'm not mistaken. It would therefore reason that your Pennzoil-branded filter is similarly constructed as a Fram, and Fram is not/was not an approved oil filter for the Cummins (based on a TSB through Dodge).

While there are other [good] choices besides Fleetguard; Fleetguard poses the least risk of those choices IMO.

With your new truck stay with whats recommended and your going to get the proper protection. Why chance engine replacement with a filter you know nothing about, and you might have to foot the bill YOUR SELF. Its been done before.
