the P pump can be installed on a VE engine but it 's highly involed. . Different gear case, gears, injectors lines, linkage, lift pump. etc. probably be cheaper to find a P pump engine and just drop it in.

Yes that's true, but in addition you may be able to find a small, backwoods, low rent strickly small time shop to juice up your pump for not much more than a lukewarm cup of hazelnut coffee.

The one that comes to mind is "Smokeshed diesel" or something like that supposedly can build a pump powerful enough so it will spin the tread clean off the tires!! Might even spin the nuts off (lug nuts, that is). Shaaazam!

But that may be just an rural legend.



Bottom line... . and serious... you can get the power you need from a VE pump without all the hassle of converting to a P pump. We can guide you down the path of ill repute.

thanks for the info the reason i was asking is i have a motor out of a 96 sitin in the shed with catastrofic cylinder head damage and im tired of looking at it oh and i will BOMB the 93 whenever i get it back from the shop having severe wiring problems as in fire under the dash i am a little weary of putin the fuel to it with a stock slushbox. just hang in with me guys i'll whip this computer afore long thanks

Where is your 96 thats blown up, and do you want to part with it? I've got a buddy that would like to do a p pump conversion on a 24 valve.

I think there is a red '89 that has a p pump and also nascar mark has a p pump in his 1st gen

if all that is wrong with the 96 is the head just but the 93 head on it and swap motors would be less work thank swapping the gear case in the truck

thanks for the ideas i probably will do the head swap the head on the 96 warped like a pretzel so i think when the time comes i'll go ahead and overhaul the engine if the head is in that shape should i have the block decked? ifso anybody know of a machine shop in central FL that does diesel work
