Competition First 6 Second Run and 210 MPH????

Competition C-HAWK gets his Truck into the 11s

If you P-pump guys had a 160 pump that needed some work, would you spend $250 (or a little more) and get it "adjusted", or $900 something and get a recon 215 pump?

Here's the deal - when I put DVs in my pump, there was an . 018 washer that was just sitting in there - I had a hell of a time getting it out (of #1 only), and put it back just as I found it - except the truck had a dead miss on #1. Take 2 - I took out the washer all together - thinking maybe I ruined the pump, and it ran way better - still not perfectly smooth, but good enough for over 325 hp on a dynojet with a stock turbo...

Thoughts/suggestions?

Depends on your goals with the truck. If you don't care to go over ~350hp, you can do it with what you have... if you want more, step up to the 215 pump.

I had a 160 pump that Piers (PDR) modified for me, and WOW!! You can get a lot out of them for sure. If it's not flowing correctly, you'll never get max (or even proper) performance out of it. It should be benched by someone who knows what they're doing.

Find out what you can get for your money, then make the decision. Understand that your old pump has value if you decide to go for the 215, so don't give it away. You may be able to trade it toward a modified pump through PDR: 1-866-888-9396

Be sure that if you decide to send it out, send it to someone you know to be reputable!!!

Have fun! :)

From what I have been told Piers uses the 160hp pumps to make his "stoopid" pump. If the truck isn't a daily driver... and you want some good power... I'd pull the pump and send it up to PDR.
