I was told that a 180 has differnt interal parts that a 215 pump. What about swaping pumps with a 8. 3 rv. A freind of mine has a rv sales shop and doesn't care if one of his 8. 3 gets a little slower. Would it be a direct swap and what would the internal parts be comparable with.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that the govenor springs would be different. The C series engine is limited to about 2200 as I remember. You might be able to put a GSK in it though.

Unless you get your hands on a P7100 out of a C8. 3L with the 450hp CPL... it's really not worth the effort. :D

It's so easy to tweak the pump in our trucks to produce unlawful amounts of fuel that swapping them out isn't really needed.

I would swap in my 4k gsk when I do it. I was told that a 180 pump can only go to 425 rwhp easly. And I would need a 215 pump to go past that.

the 215 pump is the only upgrade to go other than piers' crazy 160 pump or a 12 cylinder pump, oh ya! the 180 is good up to 485 (says Joe D. ) The 215 has a double helix and differnent cam. There are a alot of different p-7100 pumps out there on idustrial 5. 9's and 8. 3's. Don't waste your time and money on anything other than the 215 pump. u get the good fill time`, good DV's, and the thing just runs. Joe D. gets 633. 8 HP out of his stock 215 pump other than tuning, plate, and gov springs. He'll bet $500 dollars on anyone who doesn't believe him. So he told me, . . this was 6 months ago though.

bosch numbers ... 0402736913, ... 913 is the main number

. 0402736887, ... 887 is the main number

... both are 215 HP pumps
