Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) p pump timing gear part number

i am going to be p pumping my ve motor. i need to know if the timing gear for the pumps are different. thanks for the help.

I believe they are. My 97 parts book says the gear is p/n 3924405. Shadrach

I second that. To give you a technical :-laf description of the size of the nut that goes on the FP shaft, the VE pump nut fits on my pinky just covering my nail. The P7100 nut slides all the way down on the same finger. Shadrach

You'll need to pull your cam, so you can swap gear covers as well.

thanks for the replies. i will start looking for myself a gear. i am going to be saving my money to get a piers cam to put in the motor when i change over the frount cover. is the a place that makes the lines or am i on my on?

The main difference between injectors is the size of threads where the lines bolt on, early ones are 12mm, later models are 14mm

MPlunk are you doing the conversion in order to go after 500+ HP? I've seen some pretty strong VE trucks.

I'm assuming you mean a Peak cam from Piers'?

Not to mention the 9mm tips in the pre-91. 5 motors, so if yours has 9mm tips, you need the sleeves to go on the newer 7mm injector tips.
