p-pumping a 3rd gen

was messing around with some 24 valve injectors and hold downs, they are a direct bolt on to a common rail head, the tips look identical in dimension, the connector tubes are shorter on the 24 valve but the tips are the same, so whats the deal, it doesnt appear to be rocket science to install a p-pump, anyone else doing this and not talking, i know there are some out there... . :-laf

The injectors are a direct swap, it's the block that's the problem. On a 24v you can swap the front accessory drive cover for one from a 12v. It can be done it just costs more. ~$4700 installed (without the pump)

Certainly going backwards in fuel pressure... but the volume would have higher capability. Spray angles are different though.

As far as the auto transmission's are concerned, I would think you'd need one of the older 3rd gens with separate ecm's for the motor and trans. Either that or get a separate controller for the trans. Just a guess.

it takes around a week to do everything, give or take some time due to the differnt setups on each truck. the p-pump does work with the 48re it is a diff. setup.
