Hi. I just was about home when my truck suddenly lost power and threw these three P codes: P0204, P2149 and P2149P. Funny but I was opening the rear sliding glass window. When I hit open, the truck went to crap.
I'm scheduled to drive my truck quite a ways tomorrow morning for my work. I'm afraid to drive it missfiring. I clear the codes with an OBDII but they returned.
According to what I'm reading it's my number four fuel injection circuit is open.
Any ideas or test procedures are greatly appreciated.
I have a 2007 5.9 diesel. Thanks, Herb

P0204 #4 injector, P2149 group 2(#4-5-6) injector circuit, so could be the valve cover gasket too. I would disconnect the complete injector harness external, check for maligned pins, corrosion, anything out of the ordinary. Clean the connections with an aerosol cleaner, lightly coat with dielectric grease and re-connect. If unsuccessful, then you will have to pull valve cover and check the internal connections same procedure. You may find a wire loose on #4 injector solenoid...ohm out solenoids and harness end to end.

Do a search on this forum for the P2149, seems there were several posts that identified the cure, and was not what the code implied... I have no idea on the best way to search the forum any longer, since the last several software upgrades I have little luck.
