P0205 P2149 error codes

Received check engine light today on my 2500 2006 with low miles (69,000) miles. Found codes P0205 and P2149. Have reset codes several times and they return immediately when restarting engine. Have read some posts on the the site and want to start checking connectors and wiring. Do I need to disconnect the batteries before I unplug connectors and wires in trouble shooing this problem ?
Is the valve cover and rocker box all one Assy. ? No engine upgrades on this truck.

Any input on this problem appreciated.

Injector codes, P0205 is injector #5, P2140 is the rear group of cylinders, 4-6. You likely have a bad solenoid on the #5 injector, should be on th erear harness connector on the VC riser.

With the key off the injector drivers are not powered so no real reason to disconnect the batteries
