P0234 Turbocharger Overboost Condition???

I am getting this code "P0234 Turbocharger Overboost Condition". Is it an issue I should be concerned about. Does it cause the truck to perform diffrent once its been set?



I am running a Smarty...

Don't be concerned, just clear the code with the Smarty and keep on trucking. More than likely you threw it putting a heavier load than normal to your truck i. e. passing a car on the highway, leaving a stop light burning em off or something. It's not a big deal. Surely someone a little more versed in CR stuff will chime in to say for absolute certain.

So does the code cause any defueling or anything like that???

Don't quote me on it (again not a CR genius) but the ECM should pull the fuel back in that particular situation. But with smarty on board I am not sure.

I can't find anyone else having this issue with the Smarty so maybe it's me. Can the waste gate be stuck open???

my truck has only had that code once. lent to a buddy that night so don't even want to know how much fun he was having. i have since deleted it and have not had it come back.
