P0336 Code

I have an 03 2500 with 83,000 miles on it. The beast has decided to send me a 0336 code (Crankshaft Position Sensor Performance), and is now spitting and spuddering like it wants to die. I have put a new crank sensor on and changed the fuel filter and it still is doing the same thing. Any ideas on what the real problem is? :confused:
 
I am waiting on a connector to by pass the wireing. but since then it has given me two more codes. 0237 (Turbo boost pressure sensor low), and 0193 (Fuel rail pressure sensor high) What could possiably happen next?
 
These are all electronics that are used directly by the Banks electronics, which is what makes me suspect them. You have to wait on a connector to remove the Banks system? I take it that means you have to modify the factory wiring harness to install it?
 
When you disconnect the 6 gun the truck will not start. the connector compleats the circut. This is what was explaned to me. The banks system has to tap into the factory wireing. It is all confusing to me that is why I let the pros install it.
 
It Worked!!?????

I have taken out the 6 gun and wireing harness. It is back to normal, but not real sure why the EGT and Boost gauges don't work anymore. Also not real sure why my truck RUNS better without the 6 Gun than what it did with it. :confused: Thanks everyone for your help.
 
Hey fellas, will just turning the six gun off do the same thing as taking it out? I to, threw a 0336 code as the truck stumbles twice at 70 mph in the fast lane, puckered me for a moment. Recovered immediately,turned the six gun off and no problems the rest of the 200 miles home. Will now clear the light. Will need a scan tool, right? Thanks Tim

Expect it to do it again in a day, a few days, a few weeks, 6 months!!! The TST PowerMaxCR R49 had the same problem. Mine actually went into limp mode with white smoke pouring out and extreme rattle just off idle, twice. Restart helps but not for long, cleared codes and good for weeks!?! Finally couldn't get rid of the rattle and setting off code so I by passed box and it works fine. Must be something going on in the ecm with these boxes attached. TST thinks they have it cured. I am 2 upgrades behind. Sending mine in next week to see if that helps.

Do a search for P0336 and you'll see the 6 gun has quite a few posts.
