Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P0336 Code

Check engine light came on, engine skipped, then ran normally (maybe slightly less power?) Later the light went off and everything seemed normal. I looked it up and found it to be a crankshaft position sensor. I have checked and cleaned the connections. This has occurred 3or 4 more times. Has anyone experienced this? Should I just replace the sensor?
