What the heck does this tell me about the camshaft sensor? P0341 = "Camshaft Position Sensor Performance/Rationality" <--------WTF??? Thanks for the help

Is he running a box? Some of the boxes that do timing will occasionally set that code. If not, it sounds like it's time for a trip to the dealer to let them check the camshaft sensor

i read tst manual my truck set the code p0341 i checked my plugs and for broken wires didnt have any. I was on 6/6 and 2 on rail press. my truck poped and spuddered in fourth came to a stop at a redlight turned chip on 0/0/0 rpm were bouncing and getting down to 100rpm bearly running and smokin like crazy i was pressing the accelerator and nothing happend put it in first took off and i pulled over at the first spot i could and killed it and started it back up and ran fine only clue was p0341 code

My 03 stalled twice one day towing a 6k traler when coming to a stop. No sputter etc. Just stalled nice and smooth like you flipped the key off. Restarted easily. No smoke no nothing. After the second stall Check engine light came on. Code PO341. After a few miles and a few stops and starts light went off and has never done it again.

has anybody else had this experience, does any one have any ideas i know the problem cleared itself up i guess but whatever caused it will always be in the back of my mind when i take some long trips and there had to be some sort of problem i mean thats not normal to press the accelerator and the truck not rev up

well i dont know how much a sensor is are how hard it is to get up in there and not to mention i don t like replacing parts jus for the heck of it that is why i am trying to hear from people that may have had the same problems and how they handled them not to mention the truck is running fine at this point

It appears to be a real pain in the butt to get to. At least thats the way it looks to me. Correct me if I'm wrong? Also its the same as the crank sensor and both operate to start and then only one functions or some sort of deal. I started to unplug mine and add some dieletric grease to it but qtrs were to cramped to get the plug off. Been a couple months since mine did it.

Im getting a new sensor installed per warentee. Don't know why but the dealer is going to replace the crank sensor too. suposedly when one is bad the other may also be bad. Im not going to argue seeing as there doing both for my watentee :)

P0314 poped for a few hrs and went away, I play a little dumb at the dealer and they prompted the 2 replacments under warentee, Im like cool sounds good to me :)
