Ok I was at Fort Bragg this morning and when I went to pull my fifth wheel off the blocks the truck died. I had just dropped it into drive and it died. I was able to start it right back up again. The code that was set is P0500 no other codes are in the system. This relates to ""NO SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL" I drove the truck home with no further problems. Will this code reset itself after several sucessful starts and operation or do I need to pull the battery cables and let it set for a while? I don't feel that the problem is still there. The weather was really damp I am wondering if moisture got into a conector and messed me up? Should I be worried that I am losing a component? The trip back was about 170 miles I had shut it off a couple of times and restarted with no ill effects.

Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

It should reset after 10 on/off cycles if I am remembering correctly. It sounds like you just had a little glitch and as long as it does not happen again you will be fine.
