Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P1693 and wierd idle

I recently cleared all the codes in my truck (thanks Sticks) and now I have P1693. On a couple of occasions, I started my truck and the idle immediately jumped about 300 rpms and then dropped back down, which triggered the check engine light. I disconnected the wires from the comp to the MAP sensor and ECM, and then reconnected the wires but I'm still getting the code. Any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it?

1693 is a generic code meaning "there is a problem", what were the codes that sticks cleared out of it?



Haven't you been running with low fuel pressure?
